About the Role
As a Software Engineer at SelectMinds, you’ll work on creating advanced financial software using the .NET/C# technology stack. You will help make new loyalty platform solutions for global brands as part of a team that values cutting-edge technology and creative problem solving. In this job, you’ll design, code, test, and support applications in a fast-paced Agile setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Using .NET and C#, design, build, improve, and test financial software applications that meet the needs of the business in MIS Tech.
- Make technical solutions that work and can grow to help you solve and understand complicated problems.
- Create features for web apps that are based on service-oriented architecture, including the UI, services, and database layers.
- Work with project leads, architects, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to make sure that software components are delivered on time.
- Look at new functional requirements and make sure you give an accurate estimate of how much work it will take to develop them.
- Help global, cross-functional teams create software solutions that help the business reach its goals.
- Make and keep detailed records of how to install and maintain software.
- Get involved in design and code reviews to help your team work together and keep getting better.
- Use Agile Scrum workflows to plan tasks, set deadlines, and keep track of progress toward project goals.
- Lead activities that support production, such as fixing defects, resolving incidents, and finding the root cause of problems.
- Keep up with new technologies and make sure that your learning is in line with the engineering goals of your organization.
Required Skills
- Good at using .NET framework, C#, and other technologies for making and supporting applications.
- A good grasp of software architecture and object-oriented design principles.
- Working with SOAP and REST web services in service-oriented architectures.
- Knowledge of the ASP.NET framework for making web apps.
- Good at SQL and managing databases.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that you can use.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum and other software development life cycles.
- Know how to use build and version control tools like Maven, Subversion, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
- It helps to have experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- It would be helpful to have worked with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as services like API Gateway, IAM, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least two years of real-world experience with .NET development, which should include all stages of the software development lifecycle, such as design, testing, and operational support. A Master’s degree or the same amount of work experience is preferred. It would be helpful if you had worked with MySQL, HTML5, Docker, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB before.
