As a Product Intern at Sezzle, you’ll get great experience in quality assurance, product testing, and working with people from different departments at a fast-growing fintech company that’s changing the way people shop online.
Your Role: Hands-On Product Quality Experience
This internship is a great chance to learn a lot about quality assurance for both mobile apps and web platforms. You will play a key role in making sure that our digital products provide great user experiences and help us achieve our goal of making shopping smarter and easier.
You’ll learn real-world skills in software testing, bug finding, and product improvement by working with experienced product managers and engineers. This will give you an edge in the competitive tech world.
Core Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Throughout the development lifecycle, thoroughly test new features on both mobile and web platforms.
- Check that everything works before and after a product launch to make sure it goes off without a hitch.
- Find and record software bugs with clear, actionable information that speeds up the process of fixing them.
User Experience Evaluation
- Look at how customers move through your mobile and web products and how the interfaces work.
- Find ways to improve usability and make users happier.
- Give information that helps make decisions about products and how to make them better
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product managers, designers, and software engineers to keep up high standards of quality.
- Share results across teams in a way that encourages ongoing improvement
- Take part in agile development processes and help plan sprints.
Process Enhancement
- Help make quality assurance methods better and more effective
- Suggest tools and methods that make testing more efficient
- Write down best practices that can grow with the team
What You Bring to the Team
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in a field related to Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or something similarCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or related field
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is required for consideration of your application.
- A real interest in making products, running a business, and making strategic decisions
- Ability to think critically and pay close attention to details
- Ability to use both qualitative and quantitative data to figure out what customers want
- Good communication skills for turning product problems into technical requirements
Valuable Skills & Experience
- Understanding the basics of product management and agile development frameworksKnowledge of product management fundamentals and agile development frameworks
- Being able to use data analysis tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or basic SQL
- Understanding the principles of user experience design through coursework or self-study
- Knowing how to use design collaboration tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- You should have used project management tools like Jira or other Atlassian products before.
