About the Role
The Software Support Specialist also directly offers technical support to the end users on the front lines and liaises with software vendors in troubleshooting and solving the problems arising with the system. The role assists in day-to-day operations and aids to make sure that users throughout the organization have the tools and access they require to make it.
It is a good chance of an individual who is meticulous, a good communicator, and is keen on learning more about enterprise software systems such as Yardi, Avid, and Microsoft systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-user software support across all departments within the organization.
- Act as a liaison with software providers — including Yardi and Avid — when troubleshooting and escalating system issues.
- Manage and respond to support requests through a help-desk ticketing system in a timely manner.
- Perform system administrator functions for enterprise software platforms including Yardi, Avid, and Microsoft 365.
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions across multiple software systems.
- Participate in additional training opportunities including SQL database management and advanced system functions.
- Support continuous improvement of IT processes and procedures across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Comfortable providing customer support via phone and email in a professional setting.
- Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn new technologies, software, and systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Basic accounting knowledge or familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Prior experience with Yardi, Avid, or similar enterprise platforms is a bonus.
- Experience with SQL databases or system administration is advantageous.
